Puchi Colón está celebrando 30 años de ministerio musical, llevando fielmente el mensaje de salvación a través de la adoración en inglés y español en Puerto Rico, los Estados Unidos y a nivel internacional. Cantante, compositor, líder de adoración, músico y productor dedicado, su ministerio se caracteriza por la excelencia, la autenticidad y un profundo amor por Jesucristo.

Nacido en Nueva Jersey y de ascendencia puertorriqueña, la pasión de Puchi por la música está acompañada de su sincera devoción a su Salvador y de su compromiso inquebrantable con el avance del Reino de Dios. Reconoce humildemente sus dones musicales como un regalo de Dios y los ofrece continuamente como un acto de adoración.

Puchi lanzó su primer álbum como solista en 1996, Voy a Comenzar (I Will Begin). En 1997, lanzo una producción titulada "Entre Amigos" con Ruben Felix. En 1998, Puchi lanzo la producción "Siempre Te Adorare" y luego se unió con "Ralph Hernández" en Phila, PA formando lo que con el tiempo se convertiría en su banda y abriendo puertas para ministrar en los Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, México, Guatemala y Nicaragua. Durante sus primeros años de ministerio, Puchi fue profundamente influenciado por la guía y mentoría de Rubén Félix, así como por la amistad y el ánimo de Ariel Vélez Jr., cuya influencia jugó un papel vital en su desarrollo espiritual y musical.

En el año 2000, Puchi y su esposa JoAnn lanzaron Busca a Jesús bajo su sello independiente Jovi Music. Ese mismo año, marcaron un precedente con el lanzamiento de Salsa Praise, el primer álbum cristiano de salsa en inglés, introduciendo al mercado de la música cristiana un proyecto completo de adoración con ritmo salsero. En el verano de 2003, Puchi fue reconocido como Artista del Año por New York Christian Radio 970DJ. A lo largo de los años, ha recibido nominaciones de prestigiosas organizaciones como los Latino Diamonds Awards, Premios El Galardón, Praise Music Awards y Premios Radikal. En 2004, participó en el National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast en Washington, D.C., durante la presidencia de George W. Bush.

Puchi ha sido presentado en importantes plataformas cristianas como TBN’s Alabanza al Señor, The 700 Club (CBN), TCT Network, Medio Día Puerto Rico en WAPA América, y también ha trabajado en Conga Head Studios en Nueva York con el productor Martin Cohen. 

Su catálogo musical incluye 15 producciones, con proyectos destacados como Que No Pare (Don’t Stop the Praise), que cuenta con una participación especial del legendario artista Bobby Cruz. A lo largo de su carrera, ha colaborado con una amplia variedad de artistas, incluyendo Rubén Félix Xariz, David y Abraham, Richie Ray, Jay Kalyl, Jared Anderson, Unified Sound, Luis Fabián, LaRue Howard, Christian Legacy’s Big Band, Norberto Vélez (Sesiones Desde La Loma) y, más recientemente, con su hijo Joel Colón.

Uno de los mayores gozos de Puchi es ministrar junto a su familia. Actualmente comparte el escenario con sus tres hijos — Mick (trombón), Joel (trompeta y voz) y Sammy (batería y timbal) — como integrantes de la Salsa Praise Band. 

Entre sus sencillos más recientes se encuentran “What’s Going On”, “Obediencia”, “Vivo Enamorado”, “WayMaker”(en español), “Haz Tu Voluntad”, “Great I Am” (arreglo latino), “Coritos Medley”, “Por Siempre Te Adoraré”, “Felicidad Todo El Año”, “Goodness of God” y “La Bondad de Dios”, tema que alcanzó el Top Ten en Nueva Vida 97.7 FM en Puerto Rico.

Desde 2008, Puchi ha servido fielmente a la iglesia local, incluyendo su tiempo en Word of Life Christian Center en Lone Tree, Colorado, bajo el liderazgo del Pastor Dr. Tim Bagwell. Actualmente se desempeña como Pastor de Adoración en una iglesia en la Florida donde continúa ministrando junto a su esposa JoAnn y sus hijos. A través de cada etapa de su caminar, Puchi Colón permanece como un testimonio vivo de la bondad y fidelidad de Dios.

Puchi Colón is celebrating 30 years of music ministry, faithfully carrying the message of salvation through worship in both English and Spanish throughout Puerto Rico, the United States, and internationally. A dedicated singer, songwriter, worship leader, musician, and producer, his ministry is marked by excellence, authenticity, and a deep love for Jesus Christ.

Born in New Jersey and of Puerto Rican descent, Puchi’s passion for music is matched by his sincere devotion to his Savior and his unwavering commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God. He humbly recognizes his musical gifts as entrusted to him by God and continually offers them back as an act of worship.

Puchi released his first solo album in 1996, Voy a Comenzar (I Will Begin). In 1997, he released a production titled "Entre Amigos"with Rubén Félix. Since 2008, Puchi has faithfully served the local church, including his time at Word of Life Christian Center in Lone Tree, Colorado, under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Tim Bagwell. He currently serves as Worship Pastor at Haven Worship Center in Winter Haven, Florida, where he continues to minister alongside his wife JoAnn and their sons. Through every season of his journey, Puchi Colón remains a living testimony of the goodness and faithfulness of God.
