​Puchi Colón, pronto celebrará 30 años de trayectoria ministerial en Puerto Rico, Estados Unidos y en el extranjero, ha llevado el mensaje de salvación a través de su música en inglés y español, es cantante, compositor, líder de adoración, músico y productor. Puchi nació en Nueva Jersey con ascendencia puertorriqueña. Su pasión por la música complementa su sincero amor por su Salvador Jesucristo y su convicción por contribuir en el Reino de Dios, reconoce su talento como un regalo de Dios y lo entrega como una ofrenda de adoración. Puchi estrenó su primer álbum como solista en 1996 titulado “Voy a Comenzar”. En 1997, Ralph Hernández se unió a Puchi y formó su banda, teniendo la oportunidad de viajar a diferentes lugares dentro de Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, México, Guatemala y Nicaragua. ​

 

En el 2000 Puchi y su esposa JoAnn lanzaron el álbum “Busca A Jesús”, con su sello Jovi Music, así como también el primer álbum en inglés de “Salsa Praise”, dándole al mercado de música cristiana algo que nunca había tenido, un álbum completo de salsa cristiana en inglés. En el verano del 2003 Puchi recibió el honor de ser “Artista del Año” en Radio Cristiana de Nueva York 970DJ. Ha sido nominado a los Latino Diamonds Awards, Premios El Galardón, Praise Music Awards y Premios Radikal.  Puchi participó en el «National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast», en Washington DC, en el 2004 durante la presidencia de George W. Bush. Así como también estuvo en programas como “Alabanza al Señor” de TBN, en el Club 700 (CBN), en TCT Network y en Medio Día Puerto Rico de WAPA América y los estudios de Martin Cohen en Congahead Studios, NYC. En su amplio repertorio musical cuenta con 14 producciones discográficas, dentro de ellas se destaca “Que no pare” (Don’t Stop The Praise) con la participación especial del maestro Bobby Cruz en una de las canciones. Además, ha realizado colaboraciones musicales con Rubén Félix, Richie Ray, Jay Kalyl, Jared Anderson, Unified Sound, Luis Fabian, LaRue Howard, CLBB, Norberto Velez en Sesiones desde La Loma y recientemente con su hijo Joel Colón. Actualmente, Puchi Colón disfruta el honor de tener a sus 3 hijos Mickael (Trombone), Joel (Trompeta/Coro) y Sammy (Drums/Timbal) parte de su orquesta "Salsa Praise Band".

 

Cabe destacar que Puchi cuenta con 14 producciones discográficas. Dentro de los cortes musicales se encuentran “What's Going On”, “Obediencia”, “Vivo Enamorado”, “WayMaker” Español, “Haz Tu Voluntad”, “Great I Am”, Everlasting God “Coritos Medley”, “Por Siempre Te Adoraré”, “Me Asombra Tu Amor" “Goodness of God” y “La Bondad de Dios” canción que se posicionó en el Top Ten de Nueva Vida 97.7 FM en Puerto Rico.  Puchi fue líder de adoración en Living Water Fellowship, Calvary Orlando y en la iglesia Word of Life Christian Center liderada por el Pastor Dr. Bagwell en el área de Denver, Colorado. En la actualidad Puchi reside en Orlando, FL junto a su esposa JoAnn y sus 4 hijos; Gabriel, Mickael, Joel & Sammy.  Indudablemente ha visto la bondad de Dios en cada uno de sus procesos. ​

Puchi Colón will soon celebrate 30 years of ministry, having carried the message of salvation through his music in both English and Spanish across Puerto Rico, the United States, and internationally. He is a singer, songwriter, worship leader, musician, and producer. Puchi was born in New Jersey and is of Puerto Rican descent. His passion for music complements his sincere love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his conviction to contribute to the Kingdom of God. He recognizes his talent as a gift from God and offers it as an act of worship.Puchi released his first solo album in 1996 titled "Voy a Comenzar" (I Will Begin). In 1997, Ralph Hernández joined Puchi and they formed his band, giving them the opportunity to travel throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

 

In 2000, Puchi and his wife JoAnn released the album "Busca A Jesús" (Seek Jesus) under their label, Jovi Music, along with the first English-language Salsa Praise album—bringing something entirely new to the Christian music market: a full Christian salsa album in English. In the summer of 2003, Puchi was honored as “Artist of the Year” on New York Christian Radio 970DJ. He has been nominated for the Latino Diamonds Awards, Premios El Galardón, Praise Music Awards, and Premios Radikal. Puchi participated in the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., in 2004 during the presidency of George W. Bush. He has also appeared on shows such as TBN's Alabanza al Señor, The 700 Club (CBN), TCT Network, Medio Día Puerto Rico on WAPA América, and Martin Cohen's Congahead Studios in NYC. His extensive musical repertoire includes 14 albums. Among them, Que no pare (Don’t Stop the Praise) stands out, featuring a special appearance by maestro Bobby Cruz on one of the tracks. He has collaborated musically with artists such as Rubén Félix, Richie Ray, Jay Kalyl, Jared Anderson, Unified Sound, Luis Fabian, LaRue Howard, CLBB, Norberto Velez, Sesiones desde La Loma, and recently, his son Joel Colón.​ Currently, Puchi Colón enjoys having his 3 sons Mick (Trombone), Joel (Trumpet/Vocals) & Sammy (Drums/Timbal) a part of the "Salsa Praise Band".

Puchi Colón has served as Worship Leader at Living Water Fellowship, Calvary Orlando & Word of Life Christian Center in Denver, Colorado, under the leadership his Pastor, Dr. Tim Bagwell. Currently, Puchi lives in Orlando, FL with his wife JoAnn and 4 sons; Gabriel, Mickael, Joel & Sammy. Undoubtedly, he has seen the goodness of God throughout every stage of his journey.
